This will be the 29th<\/sup> annual William Ludwikowski Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament. The O.W. Holmes Class of 1977 continues our mission to provide opportunities for education to future Holmes Alumni.\u00a0 <\/span>Your contributions are essential to supporting our Foundation. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Briefly, I should tell you that Bill was a classmate of ours at Holmes and that he was an outstanding scholar, athlete and leader of our peers.\u00a0 <\/span>He died of cancer about ten minutes after receiving his diploma on graduation day in May 1977.\u00a0 <\/span>He had received numerous scholarships and was set to attend Princeton University after high school.\u00a0 <\/span>After his untimely death, our classmates decided to set up an educational fund to honor Bill and his parents by raising money and granting scholarships in his name.\u00a0 <\/span>The response over the years has been tremendous to say the least.<\/p>\r\n

This annual golf tournament is our only fund raiser and thanks to the support of former classmates, friends in the community and businesses we have helped provide scholarships to many young people that have a desire to further their education.\u00a0 <\/span>To date, we have provided 84 scholarships totaling more than $375,000 to Holmes High School Graduates. \u00a0In our final year, we will exceed $400,000 in total scholarships awarded.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

This year’s golf tournament will be held at Silverhorn Golf Club on Saturday, July 11th, 2026. Any consideration of a donation, a gift, or a gift certificate would be greatly appreciated.
