Holmes High School. The foundation is named after William \u201cBill\u201d Ludwikowski, an alumnus, who was a member of the class of 1977. Although Bill\u2019s graduation ceremony took place in a hospital room, and he succumbed to his cancer shortly after receiving his diploma, he has always been considered one of our finest classmates and graduates.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Bill was diagnosed with cancer in the spring of our junior year. He fought a long and hard battle for a little over a year. Through our senior year he continued to be an honor student, athlete, and a contributing member to several school and civic organizations. It was his drive, and never ending determination that has led us to honor him in this way. It is that determination that we seek to reward with a scholarship to help with the expense of higher education. This scholarship is not solely based on academics nor need, but an accumulated score of both areas as well as other factors.
